Last year I made it through a full weekend of @hks

Last year I made it through a full weekend of @hksevens with two kids and a 5 week old

In big part because of my friend village (thanks @cait.sw & @rlthompson93 )

And the actual fan village that you could take the kids to burn off some energy at and play lots of fun games

And definitely possible by staying right next to the stadium at @dorsettkaitak - loved watching the stadium all lit up at night.

Early start on Friday for an 8:00 u5s kickoff - how cool to get to play at Kai Tak, and Sawyer lived up to the vibe blowing my mind with a little kick chase try. I don’t have it on camera because his sister got bored and I gave her my phone 🫣

Friday is a great vibe with kids as it’s not overly packed and they enjoyed getting lots of autographs (thanks @maddi_levi 🫶🏻)

Saturday we loaded up at the hotel brekkie and had a pretty great morning. Managed a bit of touch with @waisaleserevi6 and @rugbytotshk before the kids got to march around the stadium in their club kits.

Aunty met us at the hotel with some home cooked food and mom got to be just herself and go back for some evening fun

And then I won’t lie, Sunday was pushing it. We made great use of the water colour books etc but left fairly early so no rush and home before everyone was at risk of crying

Think this year with a one year old might be tougher 🙊

We’ve lost our marbles but we’re having fun 🤪

(Contemplating getting one of those self heating cups though)

Left home at 15:00 for a 18:00 flight with my (almost 🥹) one year old.

Summertime Strolling

Walked along the seaside path from Bailey’s Cottage to St James. A couple of stairs to navigate if bringing a stroller but the pathway itself is stroller friendly. Lots of people making good use of the long summer days and enjoying the rock pools at St James.

We had dinner at @folkcapetown (they’ve got outside seating and a kids playground) but also keen to try @pizza.shed which is just across the road

Told Sawyer that seafoam is believed to be dead mermaids - anyone else read the non-Disney version of The Little Mermaid? 🧜🏻‍♀️ 😅
