Summertime Strolling

Walked along the seaside path from Bailey’s Cottage to St James. A couple of stairs to navigate if bringing a stroller but the pathway itself is stroller friendly. Lots of people making good use of the long summer days and enjoying the rock pools at St James.

We had dinner at @folkcapetown (they’ve got outside seating and a kids playground) but also keen to try @pizza.shed which is just across the road

Told Sawyer that seafoam is believed to be dead mermaids - anyone else read the non-Disney version of The Little Mermaid? 🧜🏻‍♀️ 😅

Christmas Eve: early morning swim edition

Kicked off Christmas in Cape Town at the Camps Bay Tidal Pools for a 7am family swim. The mountain had some serious cloth going and it was rather breezy but the water was calm and invigorating - fine, I managed half a dip with a 3yr clinging to me (great body warmer) before the bébé got sad that I had abandoned him on the beach.

Kids were so happy that their Egyptian Geese babies they saw at Easter were back 🥹

Sun was out and skies cleared in true Cape Town fashion, although we warmed up proper with a hot coffee - pastries from @okjacafe were 👌🏻
