Grab your friends, pack the rosé and head up to the New Territories for a day full of sunshine, happiness and lots of pizza

They’ll provide the ingredients and teach you how to make your pizza dough - kids absolutely loved it (as did the grown ups). We went with another family and gave the kids their own table and let them make their own dough. While the dough rises you head off to the garden and pick some veggies (cherry tomatoes, peppers, basil and etc). The farm also provides the sauce and cheese, and you bring any other toppings with (we had some cured meats, cooked chicken, feta). It’s also bring your own drinks, and it was the perfect day for some chilled rosé

You’ll sit in a leafy garden, it can be hot and you’ll definitely need sunscreen and bug spray

- August slept for most of the event and awoke to a game of Pass The Baby (but seemed very much here for the attention)
- The much wanted family photo did not occur
- Selfies with Sawyer did
- All the ball games for big & small humans alike
- barefoot on the grass with rosé in hand is my happy place

Triple the odds of someone waking you up in the night

You have the best smile that lights up your whole face (and mine) and the saddest, sad face

You’re swivelling around and chewing on your hands and my hands and dad’s hand

And I love that you’re on board for a morning stroller nap parked outside the coffee shop

I feared I’d never feel ‘done’ having babies, and although Sawyer is still rallying for “twelve more” 😆 I feel so content in how you have rounded out our family

Felt like I cracked a life hack with a 15:30 Birthday ‘Dunch’ - kids had plans in the morning so brunch was out and I didn’t want to be out late with a baby to feed during the night. Free flow food & drinks AND in bed by 9pm 🤣🙌🏻 Thanks @cooshtihk

Felt really loved and special, and for once the weather was great in Honkers on my bday and we ended the day with a rooftop braai

This past pregnancy my mom got to see me bump-a-co

This past pregnancy my mom got to see me bump-a-cooking, and she got to mother me postpartum 🤍

Not to mention all the love she showers onto her grandchildren and the effort she makes when they’re in the same place.

What a privilege to have her.

This is 2 months 🧡

It’s 9h21 on a Tuesday morning. We’re sitting in a coffee shop, you’re asleep on my chest. You can nap like this for hours - at home, not so much (but I’m more than happy to oblige and be out in the world with a hot beverage). You fell asleep feeding this morning and had a 10min cat nap before waking yourself up with an enthusiastic poop. You were still in my arms, and I had been contemplating moving you onto the Sleepyhead right next to me, but as per usual it was currently occupied by a little dog who is convinced it is for him (as they are with most baby related things).

Your washing is waiting to be put away but already more and more things will not be going back into your cupboard. We said you’ll be the last and I fear every little chapter closing will feel more painful than the one before. I’m torn between keeping lots of little clothes for a quilt, and passing them on for someone else to love (and feel the love passed on with them).

I couldn’t help but lean down and kiss your head, you stir somewhat. Worth the risk.
